From Berek to Star Fortress

The primary target audience for Zsuzsanna T. Molnár's novel is the age group between 14 and 20 years old. That is why the text is easy to understand and offers the opportunity for empathy. It cannot be otherwise, since its purpose is to resolve social tension and provide knowledge in this difficult-to-approach topic that carries heavy burdens. This novel is an adaptation of the Gypsy Holocaust, which at the same time provides a panoramic view of rural Hungary and sheds light on the relationship between the village and the Gypsies living outside the village - who lived in a symbiosis based on custom.
The author gained his experience with Gypsy families living in Szakony village, a small settlement near the Austrian border in the Répce Valley. Through Jenő Erdélyi's large family, the history and culture of gypsies came to the fore of his interest. With diverse experiences, he wrote his novel From Berek to Star Forest.
The text of the novel was supplemented with an explanation of words and folk songs from Lovári translated into Hungarian.
